About My Clients

You've collected labels, diagnoses, and explanations, but still struggle to make sense of who you are as a whole person. Maybe you've spent years masking, questioning yourself, or trying to meet expectations that were never designed with you in mind, leaving you disconnected from yourself and others. You're seeking a deeper understanding of your identity and are open to exploring new possibilities, even when the path forward feels uncertain.

My Background and Approach

I developed my clinical skills working in an LGBTQIA+ specific intensive outpatient program and have a lot of experience in supporting people who are at their limit. I have a robust library of evidence-based interventions (DBT, CBT, ACT). I have specialized education and training in relationship counseling, identity development, Internal Family Systems, and expressive arts and somatic integration interventions. I apply these interventions through a trauma-informed, relational lens that helps you better understand your life story as a whole and move beyond survival. I believe that what is personal is political, and what is political is personal. This means I will also support you in identifying how systemic oppression shows up in your life and what your real values are. All together, that means we'll explore and experiment with intention.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As living beings with dynamic consciousness we’re open systems, taking in energy and expelling waste. This openness creates the possibility for what researchers call “error” and what physicists call “chaos”, but what you and I might call, “something different”. For things to become truly different, we must be open to what we don’t already know or believe. When we’ve been traumatized, invalidated and shamed, it’s terrifying to be that vulnerable...so choosing to do it anyways requires an incredible leap of faith. Change happens in mid-air---when we no longer try to cling to the familiar and commit to being present with ourselves as we descend into the unknown. My role is to carry the light that reveals both the horrors of your nightmares AND the way through them. Your role is to walk the path and be open to where it may take you. Together, we can do this.
