About My Clients
You may look like you're holding it all together, but inside feel anxious, disconnected, self-critical, or stuck in patterns you can't seem to change. I work with thoughtful, curious adults who want to understand themselves more deeply—not simply manage symptoms. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ adults, creatives, helping professionals, and people navigating major life transitions. California clients: private pay, $200/session. Superbills available.
My Background and Approach
Our struggles often make more sense when we understand where they came from. Rather than treating anxiety, depression, self-criticism, or difficult emotions as problems to eliminate, we'll get curious about what they may be trying to tell us. My approach is depth-oriented and relational, drawing from psychodynamic and Jungian psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and nearly 20 years of Zen meditation practice. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and very human—with room for silence, curiosity, humor, and the unexpected. Together we'll explore the patterns, inner conflicts, emotions, and protective parts shaping your life so you can relate to yourself with greater freedom, authenticity, and self-compassion.
My Values as a Therapist
I don't believe therapy is about fixing what's wrong with you. It's a place to slow down, become curious about your experience, and discover that even the parts of yourself you've been fighting may have something important to say. I want therapy to feel like a genuine human relationship: warm, honest, thoughtful, and collaborative. I'll listen carefully, challenge you when it seems useful, laugh with you when appropriate, and help you look beneath the surface without losing sight of the life you're actually living. You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. We can start with whatever is alive for you right now.
