About My Clients
Are you tired of hearing negative messages from others in your voice? You may even be feeling the feels so intense that relief from alcohol, drugs, or food beats anything else. Or maybe you have made a lifestyle change and are struggling with the negative thoughts that come when you are less than perfect with your intentions. Do you eventually start a spiral of shame and guilt? You can lessen the pain, quiet the negative thoughts, and find yourself again.
My Background and Approach
Jess graduated from University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology-Substance Abuse Studies and Masters of Arts in Substance Abuse Studies. She is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor/Mental Health (License #1321) who is passionate about helping others to overcome their addictions and mental health issues. I have been working in community mental health for 5 years and worked primarily with women struggling with addiction, addiction, and relationship issues. Prior to that, I was working with an adolescents with addictions. I am driven by a desire to empower you to heal, grow, and achieve balance within your life. The goal is to help you discover your strengths so you can thrive at being your unique self. My purpose is to assist you through your path with empathy and respect. I am a creative therapist that enjoys incorporating arts and wellness activities into therapy. Because of this, I am private pay and do not accept insurances.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am whole food plant based lifestylist. I believe in saving our planet and animals from cruel practices. I am an ally for the LGBTQ community in Oklahoma. I value humans and ensuring they receive love and care even with others or the world isn't as kind.
