About My Clients
My clients are varied as I have a few non-related specialties. I specialize in reproductive mental health (pregnancy, postpartum, loss and infertility), queer family systems, and neurodivergent adults. . I'm passionate about serving people who feel marginalized in society or live outside the box; LGBTQIA+, those in non-nuclear relationships, gamers/nerds, single parents, and anyone else who has interest or identities that society doesn't affirm/welcome.
My Background and Approach
I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist and view all my work to be systemic in nature. I have an advanced training certificate in perinatal and postpartum mood disorders through PSI and am an ADHD certified clinical service provider versed in ADHD diagnosis and interventions. I love to meld the two by doing ADHD parent work. I also specialize more broadly in neurodivergent individuals, couples, and families, and help clients navigate a world built that doesn't always feel like it was built for them. Generally, I lean more psychodynamic and experiential based in my approach. I think it's important to examine childhood and the experiences that led us to this point in our lives. I work with clients to establish a safe space that suits their specific needs and wants.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Being a queer, former single mother raising two neurodivergent children greatly informs my navigation of the world. I am passionate about dismantling systems of oppression, and I work hard to examine my own privileges. Lately, my passion lies in supporting neurodivergent folks and new parents have access to a world that supports their strengths and challenges. I believe that all people are capable of change, and deserve lives that bring joy and meaning; often clients have been taught or treated otherwise. That's where I come in.
