About My Clients
Maybe life feels too heavy sometimes and you need someone to help you to carry that weight, or maybe you feel stuck and longing for change through the help of a trusted professional. The most important parts of our lives - our relationships, jobs, passions, and experiences will continue to present us with challenges that require support, compassion, and guidance to endure. As your therapist, it is an honor for me to walk alongside you in your journey towards healing and growth.
My Background and Approach
In the past 7 years, I've worked across all client populations in a variety of settings, which has offered me a wealth of experience and knowledge in therapeutic growth and healing. Whether you are facing depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, relational stress, or life transitions, I am able to meet you where you are and allow you to be the expert in your own therapeutic experience. I utilize treatment methods such as CBT, DBT, and ACT skills, strength based and solution focused modalities, while incorporating trauma informed care throughout my practice. I am qualified to help others working towards healthy coping skills, interpersonal effectiveness/strengthening relationships, identity exploration/formation, trauma processing, grief work, and improving general quality of living. I also have experience working with eating disorders/behaviors, gender affirming care, and severe and persistent mental illness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My passion for helping others and promoting mental wellbeing lead me to pursue a career in counseling, something I was certain about for most of my life. I recognize my privilege in getting the opportunity to be a source of light and support for others and feel immense gratitude to those who trust in me as their therapist. My fulfillment comes from serving others through respect of their individual experiences, cultures, values, and challenges. I am LGBTQIA+ inclusive and affirming as well as kink aware and affirming. I am passionate about social justice and serving folks in marginalized populations as both a clinician and an ally.
