About My Clients
Do you experience hypervigilance? panic? overwhelm? avoidance? unexplained physical symptoms? Many of my clients didn't realize that their symptoms of anxiety, depression, chronic pain, issues with vulnerability and in relationships stem from trauma. Trauma is not just something soldiers experience; trauma encompasses so many experiences. If you're ready to heal, I'm here to help you find safety and relief.
My Background and Approach
I'm specifically trained in EMDR, which is an evidence-based therapy that can help relieve post-traumatic symptoms and other mental health disorders. I am trained in EMDR 2.0 and the Four Blinks Flash technique as well. With the help of my advanced EMDR software, I am able to help clients like you online. I also practice Internal Family Systems (IFS), a compassionate model that helps you understand and heal your inner world. My approach is trauma-informed, affirming, and tailored to your unique needs — whether you're navigating past trauma, identity, anxiety, or chronic pain. I believe healing is possible, and I'm committed to walking alongside you on that journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an active member of the LGBTQ+ community. I live in Capitol Hill with my fiancee and dog. I absolutely love animals and have interned at The National Zoo and The National Aquarium, volunteered at District Wildlife and spent time abroad on wildlife-related research projects. I believe in human rights and animal rights. I believe in science. As a queer, Jewish therapist, I understand what it means to navigate multiple identities and I bring that lived experience into my practice — creating a space where all of who you are is welcome.
