About My Clients
My patients are adults or adolescents who are interested in freedom from suffering caused by addiction, anxiety, depression, and trauma. They want to be at ease, build resilience to cope with life’s challenges, and they partner with me for skills to construct a life worth living. They’re tired of feeling unheard in psychiatric care, and need a smart, down-to-earth, compassionate healer who is invested in giving them the tools they need to overcome pain and suffering.
My Background and Approach
I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner and clinical social worker, which means I have the training and experience to provide medication management and psychotherapy for you. I use an integrative approach that blends the best of Western medicine, ancient wisdom traditions, and holistic practices to suit your needs, preferences, and belief systems.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a queer and trans guy who originally grew up in the Deep South. My background informs a passion for helping you overcome shame, differentiate yourself from the cultural or familial environment around you, find and honor your true self, and navigate the middle path through struggle.
