About My Clients
Others say how put together you seem; inside that feels far from your reality. Do you carry feelings of overwhelm or shame around whether you're doing “it” right?- whatever “it” may be- feeling guilty for spending too much or too little time with baby, or wanting time for you away from baby. All the “its” of your life are valid and deserve space to be named. Together, we will sort out what feels tangled, allow light in to shine beauty & meaning on what feels broken, & lift you up with hope.
My Background and Approach
Clients of mine appreciate a person centered approach where YOU and all the small things matter. Authentic, warm connections are built from our first interaction and continue throughout our work. Expect a felt sense of acceptance and support as you are listened to with empathy, and met with open mindedness and compassionate curiosity. Collaboratively, we will dig deep connecting your past, present and future stories, giving way to a plan that fosters change and growth, builds coping skills and increases resiliency on your terms, taking into account your expertise in your own life. You will notice a new sense of awareness and mindfulness, better relationships, less chaos and more inner peace. For the past two years, I have been focused on helping those just like you become the best version of themselves by offering insights, providing reflections and truths in a gentle manner and making the therapeutic process personalized, comfortable and applicable to your own unique life journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that life is a balance of holding on & letting go. The happenings that we encounter throughout life can lead us to hold our pain and/or find our joy yet sometimes we become stuck here or there because of trauma, loss, stress, relationships, substances, or negative thinking patterns. As life goes, we can continue to hold it in and hope it gets better or we can reach out and make a connection towards healing. Healing and seeking help is hard work, and it is scary. I know because I have been in that chair during several stages of my life. I value this work that we do and want you to be on the receiving end of great care because I believe that you are worth it. I am that counselor who is all inclusive and wants to reduce the stigma of mental health. I believe that there is beauty in what seems broken, strength in the struggle and as flawed people, we can put ourselves back together by allowing light in our cracks, much like Japanese broken pottery is repaired with gold.
