About My Clients

My goal is to provide a safe space for you to talk about your concerns, explore your identity, or look at communication in your relationships. The last several years of my work has been spent providing therapy and support to the LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, transgender, sex worker, health care worker, first responder, law enforcement, and mental health professional communities.

My Background and Approach

As a Two-Spirit member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, I know some of the challenges we face, including finding someone to talk to who looks like and understands us. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space of compassion and connection. I use a personalized, strengths-based approach to therapy that is tailored to your needs. You and I will work collaboratively and holistically to develop concrete measures of progress toward your identified goals in the shortest amount of time. My practice is rooted in values of health at every size, sex-positivity, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, harm reduction, trauma-sensitivity, anti-oppression, and anti-racist practices. I affirm and support consensual non-monogamy, polyamory, and kink; and I am allied with those who are engaged in sex work.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone has the ability to change and grown at any time in their lives. Some of the things that challenge us in life can be attributed to how we were, or are, connected to our caregivers growing up. Yes, it's true -- sometimes our issues are related to childhood. Oftentimes, when those issues aren't addressed, we bring them with us into adulthood, and that can affect what we think about ourselves, how we have relationships with others, and our general outlook on life. The good news is that these unhealthy behaviors and responses can be unlearned through counseling and replaced with healthy ones. Through my own therapy, I know these statements to be true. I struggled with anxiety, accepting my queerness, and exploring my own identity -- hell, attributing the word "queer" was a huge deal for me! My goal is to help you find ways to experience similar relief. Bonus points if you cuss in session as part of getting that relief. If you think I can help you, drop me a line.
