About My Clients

Many of my clients are anxious overthinkers who spend a lot of time analyzing themselves, their relationships, and their lives. You know why you do what you do. You're self-aware, so you can explain your patterns. You have insight into your childhood, your relationships, and your coping mechanisms. But sometimes insight isn't enough. In fact, intellectualizing can become part of the problem when it keeps you in a loop of analyzing your feelings instead of feeling and integrating them.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I use approaches like Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems (IFS), to help clients move beyond understanding their struggles into real, meaningful change. While insight is valuable, many of the patterns and wounds we carry are rooted in deeper, subconscious areas of the brain that aren't always accessible through logic alone. Brainspotting and IFS help us access those deeper layers so healing can occur beyond the limits of insight. My goal isn't just symptom reduction. It's helping you feel more at home within yourself. Many of my clients arrive feeling plagued by a constant hum of anxiety, overthinking, and self-criticism. Over time, therapy can help your mind feel less like a battleground and more like a place you enjoy, with greater calm, confidence, and self-trust,

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I became a therapist because therapy changed my life. Through my experience as a client, I saw firsthand how transformative it is to have a space where you can be fully honest, deeply understood, and supported as you grow. That experience shaped my approach to therapy more than anything else. As an exvangelical, I know how painful and confusing religious deconstruction. Oof, talk about an existential crisis. The process of deconstruction taught me the value of critical thinking, curiosity, self-compassion, and the courage it takes to be honest with yourself. It also deepened my appreciation for the complexity of identity, belonging, and personal growth. I believe people are capable of meaningful change throughout their lives. Thanks to neuroplasticity, healing is possible, old patterns can shift, and new ways of relating to ourselves and others can emerge. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, anti-racist, progressive, and grounded in respect for human dignity.
