About My Clients
My clients are all incredibly unique and bring their curiosity and motivation to explore, learn and practice new strategies and tools to improve their life. They are looking for someone compassionate and non-judgmental to listen, guide and celebrate successes with them. They are looking for someone to collaborate with. They want to grow and improve and have support for facing challenges and making changes.
My Background and Approach
I bring over 20 years of experience in therapy to our relationship. I believe that the positive relationship between client and therapist is directly related to client success. My approach is eclectic meaning I bring knowledge of many different interventions and tools from various therapeutic modalities and theories. I do not believe one size fits all. We'll work collaboratively to address the issues that you want to focus on and develop a plan that fits your individual needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow. I believe that change involves work and a willingness to alter behavior and thinking patterns. I believe personal growth is a lifetime endeavor. I will work to provide a safe space for you to share and discuss your issues while offering suggestions and helpful tools. I have lived experience with depression and anxiety so I understand the challenges you may be facing and also the relief that can come with therapy. I have many years of experience working with members of the military. I have a lifetime of experience as a family member of first responders and am the proud parent of an LGBTQ+ child.
