About My Clients
I've held a number of clinical roles where I've done work in a residential treatment program; a county jail; public, private, and charter schools; in home, outpatient, community based, and telehealth settings; group and family based settings; the Boys and Girls Club of Boston; and with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. In these settings, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, young adults, parents, and families with a variety of therapeutic goals.
My Background and Approach
Seeking therapy can be one of the most difficult decisions we make for ourselves, our children, or our families. It requires us to take steps of courage through vulnerability, uncertainty, and trauma in the hope that we may grow through it and into our best selves. Keeping this perspective in mind, I try to carefully approach therapy with each family and individual and cater my work to each specific need. I blend a number of approaches in this work because the most crucial approach I practice is meeting you where you are and supporting growth from there. Therapists call this the therapeutic alliance and the research tells us it’s the most significant factor in therapeutic growth. I’ll build this alliance with you from a thoughtful, warm, and patient role and we’ll work together to connect the dots between clinical insight and your growth. The work may begin to take on a creative feel and that's where I think you begin to find the magic.
