About My Clients
Reaching out for support takes courage. Whether you’re navigating grief, relationship challenges, trauma, or life transitions, you deserve a space that feels safe, steady, and grounded. I work with individuals and couples, offering compassionate, evidence-based care with availability during nights and weekends to meet the needs of busy professionals, caregivers, and families. I have advanced EMDR training for use with couples; grief, loss, & mourning; and for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in trauma-informed therapy, research-supported modalities to tailor treatment to each client’s needs: EMDR Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Prolonged Exposure Therapy; Motivational Interviewing; Reminiscence Therapy. For couples, I use Prepare/Enrich and Gottman Method (Level 3 training), which allows me to help partners strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional connection. I have particular experience supporting clients in the following areas: Grief and Loss – including complicated grief, anticipatory grief, and life transitions; Couples Therapy – communication, conflict, infidelity recovery, and emotional disconnection; Religious Trauma – navigating spiritual harm, faith transitions, and identity reconstruction; Geriatrics – aging, end-of-life concerns, life review, and caregiver dynamics; Veterans – trauma, reintegration, and identity shifts after service; Caregivers – burnout, boundary-setting, and compassion fatigue
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My clinical style integrates practical skill-building with deeper emotional processing. We will work at a pace that feels safe while also moving toward meaningful growth. I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt University. This dual training uniquely equips me to support clients working through complex grief, spiritual wounds, ethical concerns, and meaning-making after trauma. My background allows me to sit comfortably with both psychological and spiritual questions, offering care that honors your beliefs—whether you are deeply rooted in faith, questioning it, or healing from harmful religious experiences. Therapy is not about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you reconnect with your resilience, clarify your values, and build relationships—both with yourself and others—that feel secure and sustainable. Healing is possible, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.`
