This is both an incredible time to be alive but is still incredibly difficult at the same time. LGBTQ+ rights are expanding but also are being attacked in many areas of the USA. While in general, the public is becoming increasingly welcoming to those of the community, there is still risk of harm and violence, there is still hate, there is still religious trauma, there are still those who say LGBT is a sin and there are still those who wish harm on members of this wonderful and loving community.

I utilize Mindfulness and Cognitive therapy to address and process the emotions, thoughts and behaviors associated with depression and stress. I am still learning but I also incorporate some hypnotic language into my practice as well.

Mindfulness therapy is about finding peace in the moment and pulling yourself out of living in the past that is associated with depressive memories as well as pulling yourself out of the future that is associated with anxious worries.

Developing and working toward personal goals whether in the immediate future or long term is important for giving meaning to the daily grind that we call find ourselves falling into from time to time. Coaching is about helping others find and give meaning to the day to day activities and to strive toward something in a meaningful way.

Our thoughts are powerful. Our thoughts shape our reality in ways that we just do not realize until we look closer at them. CBT is about discovering how your thoughts are impacting you on an emotional and behavioral manner and then changing those thoughts so they become helpful instead of hindering your progress.
