Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in San Diego, CA

About My Clients

I work with adults who may look like they’re holding it together, but inside feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in relationship patterns, or unsure of themselves. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions (i.e breakups, being parents, etc), OCD, self-worth, cultural identity, family dynamics, or the pressure of being everything to everyone. I also support Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander clients exploring identity, belonging, family, and intergenerational experiences.

My Background and Approach

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have experience supporting foster youth, trauma-impacted youth, families, couples, and adults navigating anxiety, OCD, relationship patterns, cultural identity, family dynamics, self-worth, and life transitions. My work has included supporting culturally diverse and underserved communities, including but not limited to the AAPI population. My approach is warm, collaborative, relational, and insight-oriented. I draw from Internal Family Systems, AEDP, somatic-based and mind-body approaches, Brainspotting, and Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD. In therapy, we may explore protective patterns, body cues, relationship dynamics, family experiences, and the parts of you that have learned to survive or stay guarded. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, soften self-judgment, and move toward a more grounded, connected, and authentic way of living.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing does not happen in isolation. While therapy can be a meaningful space for reflection and change, there is also deep healing that can happen through community, culture, relationships, and feeling seen by people who understand parts of your story. I value creating spaces where people feel less alone, more connected, and more able to show up as their authentic selves. Outside of the therapy room, I care deeply about mental health education and community-centered wellness. I have facilitated workshops and speaking engagements for schools, organizations, and community groups on topics such as cultural humility, AAPI mental health, burnout, identity, relationships, and emotional wellness. My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, cultural humility, and the belief that our identities, families, histories, and communities shape how we move through the world.
