About My Clients
The sun may be shining, but the days feel dark. With little motivation to do things you once loved, you find yourself just going through the motions. Getting out of bed in the morning is drudgery. Each day is the same, with the same negative thoughts looping through your mind. The mental & physical exhaustion is real! You've tried everything to feel better, but nothing has worked. Let me help! I work with clients who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety or trauma related symptoms.
My Background and Approach
My framework is a holistic approach, meaning that I help clients understand the mind/body connection so that they can learn to heal both mentally and physically. Treating the entire body ensures a better overall quality of life. I use a variety of treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I also look at nutrition, sleep habits, and exercise routines to see if there are other areas that could be improved to help support better mental health. Together, we can find an approach that best fits your needs so you can start to experience relief.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the most important aspect to therapy is the therapeutic relationship developed with my clients. I believe that each person's experience is unique to them and so is their journey toward healing. When I meet with new clients, I take time to get to know them and ensure they feel safe, heard and supported. Together, we will develop a plan that is based on your individual needs and goals. I also fully believe that change is possible, but not always easy. Learning about how your past can relate to your present and learning ways to heal from past experiences that are keeping you stuck is my focus in our work together.
