About My Clients
I work with people navigating relational distress, anxiety, life transitions or the lingering impact of trauma. My approach is guided by compassion, attunement, deep respect for your unique lived experience, and the understanding that humans are relational by nature. Grounded in social justice and cultural humility, I believe healing begins when we listen to the innate wisdom of our bodies and what our emotions are trying to tell us.
My Background and Approach
I’m trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a compassionate, research-based approach that helps people break old patterns by listening to their emotions instead of fighting them. I’ll help you slow down, tune in, and build new ways of being that feel authentic, grounded, and connected to your values. Sessions with me are dynamic, experiential and warm. With a Master of Counseling, BA in Psychology, and over a decade of prior experience working in education, the arts, and community outreach (both locally and internationally), I offer counseling rooted in evidence-based practice, cultural humility, creativity, and an open, inclusive perspective.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that your emotions are not the problem, but rather the gateway to your healing. If you ever worry that you're "too much" or "too sensitive," or perhaps you work hard to please others even at the expense of feeling disconnected to yourself, I have expertise in supporting your journey back home to yourself, your relationships and your world. I operate from a feminist lens, centering empowerment, authenticity, vulnerability, resilience and compassion in my work with ALL people. Further, I believe that we live in a societal era that asks us to put down our humanity in order to fit into a system. The constant contorting causes distress and disconnection. I am passionate about helping people reclaim their sense of self, their embodied ways of knowing, and their values.
