About My Clients

I work with adult individuals and couples on a variety of issues, including: depression, anxiety, infertility, life transitions, relationship difficulties, mood disorders, career counseling, feeling stuck, and emotional distress. I strive to build a trusting, caring, and supportive therapeutic relationship with my clients so that even when they feel that the world is against them, they can remember that there’s someone rooting for them.

My Background and Approach

I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Psychological Science from Pacific University. My clinical training began at William Temple House, where I served as a Counseling Intern from August 2018 until July 2019. I continue to see clients as a volunteer Counselor there. My training includes work with both individuals and couples. I also served on the Board of Existential-Humanistic Northwest (EHNW), a non-profit organization that promotes the primary existential-humanistic values of authenticity, integrity, responsibility, inclusion, and awe through April of 2021. I specialize in infertility issues and in career counseling. All genders, sexual orientations, gender expressions, and relationship types welcome!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, trauma, career issues, infertility – these are some of the things that we experience as humans that can keep us from living the life we want to live. When these feel overwhelming and we feel stuck in patterns that aren’t working for us, therapy can help. I work with my clients in a collaborative way that treats you as the expert of your own lived experience. You have a right to feel accepted and understood for who you are. Everyone experiences life in their own way and deals with the ups and downs in their own way. Sometimes these coping strategies work. Sometimes they come up short. When they’re no longer working for you, we can talk about why this might be and what other strategies may help you move forward. If you’re stuck in a pattern and feel like you’re treading water, we can explore ways of changing direction that feel right for you.
