About My Clients
Some of my specialties include: stress, anxiety, family conflicts, career difficulties, Parenting issues, coping with life changes, compassion fatigue, Autism and Asperger Syndrome, communication problems, Military and Veterans Issues, Self-Love, Young Adult Issues. I tend to work most with clients between 14-40 years of age. We all deserve to be heard and have our feelings validated. I will work with you to develop goals for your therapy sessions.
My Background and Approach
I often use Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. We will set therapeutic goals and decide the most appropriate way to help you make progress towards these goals. I individualize my approach to meet each client's unique needs. My hope is to provide each client with a warm, non-judgmental space to work on being their best self. I will provide you with the tools and skills to successfully meet your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe humans are resilient and capable of change. I have seen this in my work with clients of all ages (between 3 years old and 70 years old), and backgrounds. I spent a portion of my career as a High School Counselor, Career Counselor and working with neuro-divergent clients in residential settings. I believe we all need a bit of support in our lives at one time or another. Reaching out for this support and finding a therapist is a courageous first step toward reaching your personal, professional or family goals.
