About My Clients
I specialize in working with couples who feel disconnected, stuck in recurring conflicts, or frustrated that they keep having versions of the same argument, as well as in premarital work, preparing for parenthood, infidelity, and cultural differences. I work with individuals particularly around relationships, family and interpersonal conflict, breakups and divorce, dating, parenting, work stress, life transitions, and other challenges.
My Background and Approach
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in software development and management for many years. I earned my MSW from NYU in 2011 and later completed a postgraduate certificate in couples therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. I'm also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is at the heart of how I work, particularly with couples. My style is warm, active, and collaborative. With couples, I use EFT to help partners understand the patterns they get caught in, what's happening underneath them, and respond differently to each other. With individuals, I listen closely, ask questions, point out patterns, and help make connections between what's happening now and earlier experiences.
