About My Clients
Are you feeling lost or unsure of who you are amidst the changes in your life? Whether you’re navigating a divorce or breakup, struggling with aging, coping with the loss of a loved one, or adjusting to a chronic illness/disability, these transitions can shake your sense of self and leave you wondering “who am I?” I understand how overwhelming these moments can be, and I’m here to help you regain your confidence and move forward with a renewed sense of meaning and purpose.
My Background and Approach
Difficult transitions can often leave you feel like a piece of your identity is missing and can lead to confusion or lack of motivation on next steps. I typically work from a behavioral perspective in which I will work alongside you to rediscover who you are, focusing on small, actionable steps that foster healing and growth. Together, we’ll address these concerns and help you embrace and find joy in this stage! I offer a warm, non-judgemental atmosphere, and often utilize humor (when appropriate) and emphasize the importance of a positive and healthy therapeutic relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a strong passion for disabled animals and currently have six rescue cats all with varying disabilities from blindness, amputees, to those dealing with trauma from abandonment in their senior age. It's a lot of work but I enjoy providing them a home with lots of love and comfort as they navigate the hardships that this life has to offer. I find a similar passion as a Psychologist with those struggling with issues that can often present in a seemingly cruel world. I enjoy helping those who get stuck and feel hopeless to find a sense of meaning and purpose in order to, not only manage, but thrive in their life! I've worked with many people who felt as though the road ahead were too confusing and/or not worth it to move forward. However, through meaningful collaboration in therapy I've seen how talking through issues, challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors, and identifying values and goals can significantly impact a persons quality of life and give them direction.
