About My Clients
I have worked with individuals and couples, adolescents and adults. The clients I have worked with have faced various challenges including mood disorders, anxiety and OCD, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, low self-esteem and trauma. I believe that people already have what they need to get through the obstacles they face, but their true resilience and identity has been stifled.
My Background and Approach
My approach is warm and non-judgmental, and is rooted in the belief that our working relationship is what heals. My perspective is that there is no brokenness but rather, a wound, and wounds can heal. I hold space for each client’s unique presentation and I utilize an integrative, trauma-informed approach which is tailored to the person’s needs and personality. I believe that each person needs something different and it is my job to be attuned to those needs. I take the time to get to know the client, understanding their background, presenting problems and personality in order to determine which orientation to use and what techniques would benefit the most. I thrive on honest and direct, yet compassionate, communication and believe that the only way out is through.
