About My Clients
If you're carrying pain that feels too heavy to hold alone, whether from past trauma, a struggling relationship, or anxiety that won't quiet down, you're exactly who I work with. I help individuals and couples heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and addiction, rebuild after infidelity, or prepare for marriage. If you feel stuck or disconnected, healing is possible and I'd be honored to walk beside you.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and co-owner of Course Counseling, I bring clinical expertise and genuine personal investment to every session. My training spans the most effective, research-backed approaches available, each chosen because it produces real results. I am trained in EMDR, which helps clients process traumatic memories that talk therapy alone often cannot reach. My advanced EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) training, including the full Core Skills series, helps couples move from painful conflict and disconnection toward lasting emotional safety and intimacy. I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients understand and heal the parts of themselves carrying pain, fear, or shame. I also integrate DBT skills, Trauma-Focused CBT, and mindfulness to help clients regulate emotions, build resilience, and create meaningful change. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, infidelity, and premarital pre
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Outside the therapy room, I'm a mom of five and grandmother of three, married to my best friend for over 28 years. These relationships are the heartbeat of my life and the quiet foundation of my work. I know firsthand how much love, effort, and vulnerability it takes to build something lasting with the people who matter most. I grew up on the East Coast near the ocean and find my deepest sense of peace in nature. Hiking, running, and paddleboarding help me stay grounded and remind me of something I carry into every session: that movement, even slow and steady, always leads somewhere. I believe every person deserves a space where they feel fully seen and accepted, regardless of background, identity, or life stage. I welcome and affirm clients across all walks of life. I am drawn to work that honors the whole person, not just the presenting problem, and I hold deep respect for the courage it takes to reach out for help.
