About My Clients
My clients include mothers who are experiencing anxiety, overwhelm and feelings of burn-out. Additional client concerns often include resentment or rage toward a partner, not feeling like who you were prior to giving birth to your child and feeling as though you are not a good mom or can’t keep it together like “all the other moms.” I also work with young adults who struggle with people pleasing, setting healthy boundaries with others, relationship issues and intergenerational trauma.
My Background and Approach
My approach is warm, nurturing, and collaborative. Based on the needs of my client, I use a mixture of modalities that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Person Focused Therapy. I also have advanced training in the areas of trauma and maternal mental health, enabling me to assist clients with perinatal anxiety and mood disorders, pregnancy loss, stressful birth experiences and difficulties in the transition to motherhood.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Latina, I understand how culture plays a major role in how we view the world and others view us. As a therapist, I am here to provide you with a safe space to discuss issues, concerns and thoughts you may not be able to share with others, due to cultural expectations and roles that may be placed on you. You are not alone. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
