About My Clients
First of all- I'm happy you're here! You have already taken the first step toward making meaningful change in your life, career, and relationships. With nearly a decade experience in the treatment field, I have worked with individuals on a wide variety of life struggles. I am particulary interested in working with mothers experiencing infertility, pregnancy, and post-partum. Also, as a former law enforcement officer, I thoroughly enjoy working with first responders & veterans.
My Background and Approach
My preferred approaches of treatment include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strengths-based therapy, components of DBT, and psychoeducation. I incorporate mindfulness, relaxation techniques and coping skills into sessions, as appropriate. There is no one-size-fits all approach, so we will collaborate to figure out how to best serve you. I have worked in residential substance abuse, outpatient treatment, re-entry services, as well as prior employment as a law enforcement officer and in the medical field. I have a Bachelor's in Sociology from SCSU, a Master's in Rehab Counseling from Salve Regina and a CAGS in Clinical Mental Health from Salve Regina. I am a CRC and an LMHC (RI) and LPC (CT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have worked extensively in creating and developing local prevention programs. I have also sat on committees for homelessness, opiate prevention, and suicide prevention. I am passionate about helping underserved populations. In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my family & dogs, hiking, traveling, and obsessively watching Boston sports!
