About My Clients

Maybe you’re balancing family, school, or work while quietly battling anxiety or the weight of cultural expectations. As a Mexican American and first-generation Student Counselor Intern, I deeply value culture, identity, and the courage it takes to ask for help. I support adults, teens, children, and families, especially within the Latinx community, through life transitions, trauma, and career stress, offering a genuine space where you’re seen, heard, and never alone.

My Background and Approach

As a Student Counselor Intern with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a proud first-generation Mexican American, I know firsthand how stigma and cultural expectations can make it hard to reach out for support. Growing up in a traditional Mexican household in Las Vegas taught me the importance of community and resilience, and I carry that into my work as a counselor. I use a compassionate, collaborative approach, drawing on CBT, trauma-informed care, and person-centered counseling, to help clients feel safe, heard, and empowered in their healing journey. Before entering this field, I spent 4 years supporting the re-entry population as a case manager, guiding individuals through the challenges of transitioning back into society and employment. That work reinforced my belief that people can rebuild, heal, and thrive when given the right support. I am here to walk alongside you, honoring your story, your culture, and your strengths, as you move toward growth and healing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe everyone can grow, and your past doesn’t have to define you or haunt you. Growing up in a traditional Mexican household, mental health wasn’t discussed much, and figuring it out on my own wasn’t always easy. I still remind myself, and my clients, that it’s okay not to be okay. I’m passionate about supporting Latinx communities, immigrants, re-entry populations, and underserved individuals while breaking down mental health stigma. Therapy with me is compassionate, collaborative, and empowering. Outside of sessions, you’ll find me journaling, coloring, opening blind boxes (because adults deserve fun too!), spending time with my family, or hanging out with my dog Blue. Life is about growth, joy, and embracing every messy, beautiful part of your journey. If you would like to know more about me, please send me a message.
