My Background and Approach
Starting therapy can be tough, but it is essential when coping with difficult times. Building trust from the beginning is crucial, and creating a safe environment is necessary to explore and discuss complex topics. With 12 years of experience as a therapist, Jennifer has the expertise to provide the guidance and support you need to navigate difficult times. Jennifer received her Master's Degree from New York University. Once she completed her degree, she attained her post-master training in adult psychotherapy practices. Throughout her career, she has honed her skills in various therapeutic modalities, such as Psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems, and Brainspotting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy is most effective when there is a strong connection between the therapist and the client. It involves confronting difficult truths and accepting flaws, which can be challenging for clients. However, a strong alliance with the therapist can provide the necessary support and guidance needed to navigate through these difficult moments. Creating an environment where you feel validated and comfortable is most important to me, even more so than schooling and specific therapeutic modalities.
