About My Clients
I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, identity, relationships, and the complicated moments when life doesn’t look the way you expected. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ and BIPOC clients, people navigating reproductive and medical experiences, and those who have felt misunderstood or unseen in other spaces. You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out. We can start wherever you are.
My Background and Approach
I’m an LCSW with a background in medical social work, advocacy, and supporting active military members during my clinical training. My approach is relational, collaborative, and honest. I primarily use ACT and CBT as frameworks, incorporating DBT-informed strategies and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) when appropriate. I also enjoy narrative therapy when there is an opportunity to explore the stories we carry about ourselves and how those stories shape our lives. I like incorporating experiential approaches when they fit a client’s needs, including nature-based therapy for clients who live close enough to my Spring Hill, FL location. I’m also not afraid to bring a little nerdiness into the therapy room. I am trained as a Therapeutic Game Master and can facilitate D&D therapy groups. Sometimes a character, story, or game gives us a language for something that is difficult to say directly.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. Client self-determination is especially important to me. You are the expert on your own life; my role is not to tell you who to be, but to help you understand yourself, find your voice, and make choices that feel true to you. I’m Latina and bisexual, and those parts of who I am have given me personal insight into navigating identity, culture, belonging, and systems that don’t always make room for us. I’m also a casual practitioner of Buddhism and appreciate the ways spirituality can provide meaning, grounding, and connection. I’m increasingly passionate about advocating for birth justice and the hardships birthing people can face within the medical system. I’m currently working toward becoming a birth doula so I can expand that advocacy and support. There is something deeply important to me about helping people feel informed, empowered, and heard during such a vulnerable transition.
