About My Clients
You may seem capable on the outside while feeling anxious, scattered, or emotionally overwhelmed inside. Perhaps you overthink, struggle to follow through, put others first, or judge yourself harshly. You’re navigating anxiety, ADHD, grief, or life changes and want to understand your patterns while finding practical ways forward. Together, we can build self-trust, strengthen boundaries, and help you feel more grounded and connected to what matters to you.
My Background and Approach
I earned my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, and my own late ADHD diagnosis informs my understanding of the effort that can hide behind everyday tasks. My approach combines practical support with curiosity about your experiences. We’ll explore how ADHD shows up for you, from difficulty starting tasks and managing time to emotional overwhelm, overstimulation, and self-criticism. Together, we’ll experiment with tools that fit your brain: breaking tasks into manageable steps, creating external reminders, building flexible routines, and practicing ways to pause when emotions feel intense. I’m warm, collaborative, and direct, with room for humor and honest feedback. Drawing from ACT, mindfulness, and attachment-based approaches, I’ll help you understand your patterns, communicate your needs, and build self-trust. We’ll work toward changes that support both daily functioning and a life that feels meaningful to you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people deserve compassion, dignity, and room to be fully themselves. Curiosity, authenticity, and meaningful connection are central to how I approach both life and therapy. I value understanding people within the context of their relationships, identities, cultures, and experiences. I support LGBTQIA+ inclusion, respect diverse relationship structures, and embrace a neurodiversity-affirming perspective. I believe support should account for how your brain works and what your circumstances require. There is no single right way to build a meaningful life. I also believe growth can involve both self-acceptance and change. We can recognize the ways you’ve learned to cope, understand what those strategies have offered you, and explore what serves you now. My hope is to help you develop greater self-trust and the freedom to make choices that reflect your own values.
