About My Clients
I work well with individuals that are dealing with anxiety, depression, adhd, or trauma. Clients may feel like they are going through some life transitions and need help sorting things out. I work with teens through adults. My clients generally come to me ready for something to change in their lives and to put in the work to grow.
My Background and Approach
I completed my undergraduate degree at Nazareth College (now Nazareth University). I then went on to complete my master's degree at SUNY Oswego. After graduating I worked with families in their homes with kids and teens that were at risk of being removed from their home or who were returning home after placement. I then worked in foster care. After foster care I switched to private practice. While in private practice I have been able to have a more diverse group of clients which has been very engaging for me. I like to pull from lots of different treatment modalities with a focus on person centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I like to remind myself that we can get complacent in our comfort zone and that sometimes we need to be a little uncomfortable to grow. Some days we can handle that discomfort and other days we can’t and that’s okay. It’s a journey that we are on and it’s important to take it day by day. I like to work to find the coping skills that work for each of my clients as they go on this journey. I think that people get so caught up in the daily grind that they forget to have hobbies and things that bring them enjoyment. I believe that we are always working to be the best versions of ourselves even if somedays we are just trying to make it through the day.
