MBCT can be used to effectively treat stress, anxiety, chronic pain, and depression. Mindfulness is "the awareness that emerges through paying attentions, in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally to the unfolding of experience moment to moment" (Kabat-Zinn 2003). However, drinking negatively affects our health and can lead to serious health and social problems. You CAN overcome the habit of drinking!
