The overwhelming majority of Psychiatry training programs focus heavily on the medical model of prescribing medications to treat psychiatric conditions. While I value my top-notch Psychiatry training, I have also dedicated thousands of hours beyond the required education for psychiatrists to hone my skills as a psychotherapist.
