My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Associate (LMFTA) who is gaining full licensure as a LMFT. I gained my bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Hilo and have my Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. I have been working in the field in Washington state for 4 years now and have experience working in multiple therapeutic settings. I have worked at Ryther Child Center as a SAC therapist working in a residential setting with teens. I have also worked as an outpatient therapist and have experience working in school settings along with working in a hospital setting. I conduct therapy with children and teens who have difficulties with learning disabilities, emotional disruptions, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, troubles at school, trauma as well as issues within the family system. I also conduct family sessions, parenting sessions and couples sessions as needed for my clients.
