About My Clients
I'm an interactive, eclectic therapist. My approach is to provide support, techniques and feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I find that integrating complementary methodologies such as yoga therapy, meditation, Earth-based wisdom and breathwork to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor and a certified yoga and meditation teacher. I love working with a with a broad spectrum of clients individually and in groups. I run therapeutic women's circles and moon circles as well as teaching numerous yoga and meditation classes. I am trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, therapeutic yoga techniques and I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a primary therapy modality. I was recently trained in EMDR and I am working towards certification. I am familiar DBT informed strategies as well as traditional talk therapy. I am a current member of the American Counseling Association and the National Board for Certified Counselors as well as ACBS. I have been practicing yoga and meditation for 18 years. I tell clients that I never teach what I don't practice myself. I am currently learning ACT and using it in my own life along with using it to work with clients. It has been transformative.
