About My Clients
I am licensed in Virginia, the District of Columbia, Maryland, West Virginia & now, Florida. I love working with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with a variety of challenges from trauma to grief and loss. My technique is to help my clients navigate the obstacle, to grow and become stronger while providing them unconditional positive regard and support in a nonjudgemental and safe atmosphere.
My Background and Approach
I believe that what works for one person may not be the best course for another. This is why I implement techniques based solely on the client's needs. I received my PhD in Counseling from The George Washington University, my Masters in Community Counseling from Marymount University, and my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Lynchburg. I have worked in detention centers, behavioral health hospitals, day programs, art therapy, residential, and emergency rooms and shelters. My areas of expertise are crisis and trauma and grief and loss. I have experience and work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples.
