About My Clients
I have about 7 years of experience working in both community behavioral health and inpatient hospital settings providing care to clients of all ages and backgrounds. While I have experience working with a vast spectrum of populations and mental health concerns, some of my focus areas involve working with adolescents and young adults addressing concerns related to trauma/PTSD, family conflict, LGBTQIA+, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder.
My Background and Approach
My educational foundation from is from the University of Florida and is rooted in social justice and viewing each person through a systemic lens. I work from a strengths-based perspective, focusing on empowering clients and providing clients with opportunities to learn, grow, and implement positive coping strategies as they focus on their healing. I firmly believe that providing clients with the knowledge, skills, and opportunity for growth will allow them to reach their personal goals and ultimately feel better. I pride myself on being genuine, honest and open with my clients which I believe provides a sense of safety in the therapeutic relationship and ultimately propels progress in treatment.
