About My Clients
Battling with OCD and anxiety can make you feel stuck. You may feel trapped by routines and rituals you know don’t make sense but feel compelled to do anyway—just in case. You may be avoiding activities or thoughts you know deep down aren’t dangerous, but the risk feels too great to approach the situation. Your mind is likely racing with all the worst-case-scenarios that you just can’t seem to quiet. I work with clients every day to help break these cycles so that they can find lasting relief.
My Background and Approach
I am trained as both a researcher and therapist, which means the strategies I use are grounded in research. I also take a very person-centered approach in all my work. Each client is unique and requires specialized care. I am always ready to meet you where you are with compassion and empathy to help you feel better at a pace that feels right for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Creating a safe, affirming environment matters deeply to me. I work hard to ensure that every client feels respected, valued, and welcome to bring their full identity into the therapy space. Some of my previous work was in a Gender Care Clinic where I worked as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide gender affirming care to gender diverse youth. Supporting the LGBTQ+ community is integral to my work. I have also worked in autism clinics and have a great deal of experience providing support to neurodiverse folks. I am also trained as a culturally humble psychologist, meaning I work hard to tailor evidence-based interventions to fit the unique needs of my clients and to honor their cultural identities in our work together. I also believe that no person is illegal and that we all deserve to feel safe in our communities.
