I utilize various therapeutic techniques including play therapy, art therapy, family support, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, breathing strategies, and psychoeducation to help children, adolescents and families in their journey healing from trauma.

I support children and adolescents in understanding how their feelings and behaviors are influenced by negative or unrealistic thoughts. I support children in learning to replace negative thoughts with positive, realistic thoughts. This process helps to improve anxiety, depression and overall improves emotional regulation.

I have extensive experiencing working with children from the age of 5 to 18 (and into early adulthood) in various settings including schools and mental health. It is important to choose a clinician who is experienced and specialized in the specific needs of children and teens.

As the parent of two children with Autism, I understand the challenges and joys in parenting children with Autism. I have extensive experience working with children on the Autism spectrum as well as supporting families.

I have extensive experience working with teens and am especially strong at developing positive relationships with teens who are initially resistant to therapy. I enjoy supporting teenagers through the difficult transitions of adolescence.
