About My Clients

My ideal clients would be people that are looking to work through the obstacles that keep them from truly loving themselves and feeling whole. This means people suffering from anxiety or depression, codependency, the effects of trauma, and more. I'm really looking for people who want to experience their authentic selves in relationship to another person, because this can be transformative.

My Background and Approach

I am grounded in humanistic psychology, neurologic approaches, and working with the body. I believe that talk therapy is useful but limited, so I use some experiential approaches in my practice, such as making art, writing, and music. You don't need to be an an artist to benefit from my approach! I have both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music therapy. My interest in neurology has brought me to do research with some of the populations I work with. Most recently, I performed a pilot study with a medical team at the Honolulu VA, finding that drumming shows great promise in improving quality of life and motor skills for people with Parkinson’s disease.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a believer in humanistic psychology, which translates into my work through helping my clients achieve their greatest potential. This means not only achieving the goals that we find mutually at the beginning of working together, but also removing roadblocks to finding joy and happiness in life. I cannot offer you happiness and joy, but I can help you uncover the way toward finding it yourself, in your own way.

I have experience with the following
  • Buddhism
