About My Clients
My clients are often from BIPOC or LGBTQIA+ communities. They are seeking therapy to navigate various challenges such as: anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, identity exploration or development, or interpersonal struggles. I strive to create a therapy space where folx can show up authentically, heal from past wounds, and create meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experienceI. I provide both individual and couples therapy. As a therapist, I use a culturally responsive lens to understand how intersecting identities (e.g., race, sexuality, gender) and oppressive systems can uniquely shape one's lived experience. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, authentic, and compassionate. I am also trained in several well-researched therapy practices (e.g., CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, trauma-informed therapy, Gottman Method), which we can collaboratively tailor to meet your specific needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing happens in spaces where people can show up as their full authentic selves, deepen their awareness, and begin to liberate themselves from any unhelpful ways of thinking or doing. I understand that healing also happens in many ways outside of therapy. In our work, we'll explore your connection to community, social supports, and nature as other ways to nurture your wellbeing. My hope is that you find a space in which you feel seen, heard, and empowered to move along your personal growth journey.
