About My Clients
You've spent decades keeping the peace, managing everyone's needs but your own, biting your tongue until it hurt. Then perimenopause hit, and your body stopped playing by the old rules. The rage you feel isn't the problem, it's the message, and it's been trying to get your attention for years. It knows exactly where you've been asked to make yourself smaller, and everywhere you have room to expand. This isn't about managing your anger until it behaves. It's about following its truth toward a sec
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Limited Psychologist in Michigan with over 20 years of clinical experience, and a BRIA-certified Menopause Mental Health Provider, meaning I bring specialized training to the emotional side of perimenopause and menopause that many therapists simply aren't equipped to address. I'm also a STAIR Method certified therapist, trained directly with Juliane Taylor Shore, which gives me practical, brain-wise tools for building the kind of self-trust that makes real change possible, not just insight, but lasting shift. My specialty is working with women in midlife carrying rage they've spent decades suppressing, as well as women navigating chronic illness and autoimmune conditions, a transition I've faced myself. That lived experience means I understand this territory from the inside, not just clinically. I keep a small caseload intentionally, so you get real attention, not a rotating door. My work is rooted in my own lived experience and years of deep, integrative study.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe rage in women isn't a flaw, it's a signal. In perimenopause and menopause, it often gets louder, not because something's wrong with you, but because your body is done letting you ignore what it's been carrying. I spent most of my life being nice, grateful, positive, anything but angry. Autoimmune disease in my late forties forced me to face what I'd been avoiding emotionally, and I haven't looked at anger the same way since. My work is integrative, weaving together traditional and cutting-edge methods, to meet you in mind, body, and spirit. It's intentional; we don't wander, we work, so your brain and body can move from surviving to thriving. Your treatment is personalized to your unique needs, and collaborative, grounded in a power-with mindset where your voice leads. As a feminist therapist, my practice is open, affirming, anti-racist, and gender-affirming. I believe well-being only thrives where justice and inclusion exist.
