About My Clients
Do you ever feel overwhelmed with life, depressed, anxious or stuck? You are not alone. At some point in nearly everyone's lives we have these feelings. I specialize in working with individuals and couples going through Perinatal and Postpartum Mood Disorders, Maternal Mental Health, Pregnancy Loss, Infertility, and Birth Trauma. I also work with with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management and relationship issues. If this is you, please contact me.
My Background and Approach
I believe that change and healing begin when one can share their stories with another person who can hear them with out judgement, validate their experience with out shame and provide support and insight without needing to problem solve. My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and down to earth. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important elements in the counseling process and the keep to a successful outcome. My goal is to help you to find your true potential, find a light in the darkness, learn new coping skills and live a life worth celebrating. I received my masters from Pepperdine University in Marriage and Family Counseling. Since graduating I have worked with a variety of different populations in various settings across Portland, Oregon. I provide Individual, Couples and Group Therapy to help one heal and learn to celebrate their life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I work hard to provide a safe, non judgmental and compassionate environment for one to be able to talk about their challenges. My goal is to assist people in being able to identify an awareness of their personal strengths, clarify their challenges or what they are dealing with and to find a creative and constructive solution. I want you to know you are not alone in this journey, there is help and their is also a light at the end of the tunnel. It can be hard to heal from the past and while we can't change it, we can work together to better understand it and work together to resolve and better understand it. I enjoy being able to spend time with my family, attending and volunteering at church, exercising both in and out doors, being able to take advantage of the beauty that Oregon provides and volunteering with various organizations to help Individuals and Couples in the area of Perinatal Mental Health.
