About My Clients
I learned through my own self-discovery and personal challenges how difficult it is to find proper diagnoses and care. Experiencing symptoms without understanding what is happening can feel isolating, confusing, and shameful, especially when you are neurodivergent. Not only are you dealing with your own symptoms, but you are also managing society’s expectations and stigmas around them. I don’t want to pathologize what you are experiencing. I want to empower you to handle life confidently.
My Background and Approach
I truly believe knowledge is power and the first step to understanding what is happening. I have developed my own AUDHD assessment, which is my career passion project. I have over 3 years of formal doctoral training in neurodivergence and neuropsychology, which is where I draw my knowledge from. I find that current ADHD and autism assessments for adults are lacking tremendously. My goal is to use assessment to help you identify both strengths and challenges, learn aspects about yourself that you never realized were a part of neurodivergence, reduce internalized shame, realize you are not alone, and feel more empowered over managing your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My clients know that I am proudly a social justice and disability advocate inside and out of the therapy room. For example, I have been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease for over 12 years and have endured two major surgeries. I believe that I, as with anyone who is dealing with any form of illness, deserve to exist in any space as their authentic selves and have access to any accommodations they need. Unfortunately, I understand that this is not the case for so many of us. I want you to know that I understand my privileges and areas of marginalization, and identity exploration and empowerment are deeply important to me.
