About My Clients
My ideal client is someone who is wanting to make changes and appreciates a direct, but empathetic approach that will sometimes include humor. As a therapist, I will not give you advice but rather help you identify maladaptive patterns, coping skills, behaviors, etc. and work with you on changing those things that are a barrier to happiness and contentment. I believe my clients are their own experts and as such, believe they should drive their treatment and their goals.
My Background and Approach
I have been a therapist for 10 years and specialize in addiction and trauma. I utilize many therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness Based therapies, and EMDR in my work with clients. I feel as a clinician it is important to be well rounded and use multiple approaches because each client is different and each therapy session could benefit from a different approach as the previous appointment.
