About My Clients
I am committed to helping people from all walks of life connect with their suppressed feelings and heal from past experiences that keep them stuck. It is my goal to facilitate change in the culture of an individual’s relationship with self and in family and couple relationships.
My Background and Approach
I understand the importance of meeting my clients where they are. I take a strength-based, collaborative approach and bring nurture, creativity, empathy, and humor to the therapeutic process. I love facilitating change in clients through the use of attachment-based, experiential, narrative, emotionally focused, and structural family therapies. My educational background consists of a Master of Art in Positive Psychology with a track in Life Coaching from Indiana Wesleyan University, a Master of Science in Social Work, and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Louisville.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe in the power of reconciliation oneself and the important role relationships play in an individual’s experience. Change occurs when individuals, couples, and families are in touch with & feel safe to explore and express their suppressed feelings. I believe that once a person makes up their mind to change, there is no stopping them. As a systemic therapist, I understand the importance of community. As a community, it is our responsibility to help nurture change and to be brave enough to flow in change as individuals change. As a therapist, I believe it is an honor and great responsibility to walk with her clients, exposing them to who they are and connecting them to the potential that is within.
