About My Clients
My clients continually impress me as thoughtful people moving through a complex world. When stressful situations arise, reactions can take many forms. I will work with you to identify sources of stress and your individual responses, then collaborate on a plan of action to address issues in an effective, individualized manner.
My Background and Approach
I was trained at Harvard (BA psychology), Pace (BSN nursing), and Hunter (MSN psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner). I work to create a safe and private space for you to share your current situation and past experience. Time is available to answer questions and assess plan progress. In addition to my work with adults, I have extensive experience with adolescents from years of milieu management and charge nurse responsibilities on teen inpatient psychiatric units. It has been my experience that an effective treatment partnership comes from appreciation of the individual and a focus on our shared humanity. The tools I will use to move you toward your goals will be tailored to your individual needs and preferences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the natural tendency to heal and grow. I see my work as helping to clear away blocks to this growth, supporting and encouraging my patients to flourish.
