About My Clients
My clients are thoughtful, motivated adults who want real change. Many are high functioning while carrying anxiety, depression, CPTSD from childhood, identity questions, perfectionism, or stuck patterns with food and body. Some tried talk therapy and want deeper, practical work. We stabilize the nervous system, use talk plus optional somatic and creative methods, and turn insight into daily experiments.
My Background and Approach
I work with clients using mindfulness and experiential-based forms of psychotherapy to help them transform their lives. My philosophy is based on a firm belief that all of us are moving toward health and healing in the best way we know how. We want to live our lives more fully but often blocks are preventing us from doing so. With a non-pathologizing approach, I help clients understand how coping strategies, although brilliant at conception, can become less helpful and outdated once we move into different environments. We can become stuck in patterns of behavior that don’t match what our lives look like in the present. Through Somatic Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, and dreamwork I work with our unexpressed parts in order to voice and incorporate those parts into our most authentic whole selves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people are operating towards growth and well-being. My job is not to change or fix, but rather to understand and accept in order to help people open up to greater options and more possibilities.
