About My Clients
My role is to help you notice and understand the patterns that keep you stuck, how these patterns play out in your body, and to help you learn to act and react with awareness and compassion. Together we work to explore challenging emotions and life transitions to rediscover aliveness, power, joy, purpose, care and a sense of connection.
My Background and Approach
My approach to treatment is informed by over a decade of experience in social service, counseling, and psychotherapy. Over the course of my training and professional practice I have worked with individuals coming from diverse backgrounds with wide ranges of life experience. I received my BA from Wesleyan University, my MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, and am a graduate of the four year clinical fellowship program at Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy. I have trained and practiced using a wide variety of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, somatic and body-oriented therapies, mindfulness, and most central to my practice, Gestalt therapy.
