From the outside everything looks “fine,” but inside you have a nagging sense that life could be better, or things just aren’t right. People would probably never guess, but your thoughts are constantly stuck in the past or swirling into the future. You feel on-edge, even when life seems to be going ok. I understand! And I love to work with women who are struggling to figure out why they are having this experience.
My Background and Approach
I take a bottom-up approach to therapy so we don’t merely focus on changing your thoughts (something you’ve probably already tried to do!), but instead we explore your experiences and automatic survival responses, and use the wisdom of your body’s feelings, to help us understand your unwanted behaviors and make changes that actually last. I often use aspects of narrative therapy, parts and inner-child work, mindfulness, and somatic (body-based) approaches. As a master-level certified Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) practitioner, I am specially trained to work with trauma and anxiety using a gentle, calming approach that decreases symptoms fast. Over and over again I’ve seen ART quickly help my clients recover their sense of hope and peace in just one or two sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Being on my own growth journey for the past few years has made it even easier to offer empathy and an understanding, non-judgmental perspective. I am genuinely honored to provide guidance and support as my clients work to understand themselves and find freedom, peace, clarity, and healing. I look forward to working with you as well!
