About My Clients
I specialize in working with women during the perinatal period through planning for pregnancy, pregnancy, postpartum, miscarriage, termination and reproductive complications. With nearly 20 years experience as a LCSW in Colorado, and as a Certified Perinatal Mental Health and trained EMDR provider, I’ve helped my clients navigate difficult and challenging times. Every women's experience with reproduction is personal and unique. I look forward to working with you during this chapter of your life.
My Background and Approach
I have worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, (LCSW) for over 20 years providing support and treatment to Colorado residents. I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (PMH-C) and Certified Telemental Health Provider, (CTMH). I provide both in-person and Telehealth services using evidenced based treatments incluidng CBT and EMDR. Thank you for considering me for your mental health care. Counseling is an opportunity to receive support and experience growth during challenging times in life. Successful therapy requires a willingness to grow and change. I believe that with support and encouragement, everyone has the ability to overcome challenges. Together we will identify tools and techniques to manage stressors and achieve wellness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life can unpredictable and sometimes messy. While we can't always control what life brings our way, we can learn was to manage the impact stressors have on our well being. With nearly 20 years experience as a LCSW, I’ve helped my clients break through the obstacles that seem to be holding them back in life. Using solution focused and evidenced based practices, we will establish skills to help you achieve wellness. I also am a member of Postpartum Support International (PSI) and support their vision that every women and family "will have access to information, support and access to informed professional care to deal with mental health issues related to child bearing." Not every pregnancy, parenting approach or pregnancy loss is the same. Women and families need to be given a safe space to manage their mental health with a caring an supportive approach.
